2018 has been another strong year for the Marketplace at Adelaide Fringe. We had 204 Industry delegates in attendances, including 70 international delegates arriving from 25 countries. The growth and importance of the program has grown dramatically.
As of July, this year’s Fringe program has already confirmed 125 bookings, with a further 137 currently in discussion. Of those 125 confirmed, 59 of them are international bookings. Current deals done are worth over $2 million to Fringe artists.
International and national bookings of Honey Pot shows are constantly being tracked and reported on. We are especially pleased that young local South Australian artists from Time in Space Circus – The Displaced had their European premier at Cirk-UFF in Prague this June, as a direct result of Honey Pot delegates seeing their show at Adelaide Fringe.
We are also excited to say that Made in Adelaide winner Anya Anastasia – The Executioners will have their European premiere at Edinburgh Fringe, with a number of Honey Pot delegates also programming the show in the coming months across a variety of locations.
Applications to apply to be a Honey Pot Industry delegate will open on 10 October.
