What happens when Alex And The Babes finally decide to leave the apps behind? That’s the premise of Six In The City, a hilarious satire on digital dating. Before the show begins, each audience member creates a persona, complete with name, occupation and dating expectations. Alex And The Babes then present multiple profiles, inviting the crowd to swipe left or right to find their perfect match and allow the dating story to unfold right before our eyes. Will your persona capture the hearts of the audience and their date?
This is built around creative improv with maximum crowd engagement. The performers take on different roles, creating stories in the most unusual of date spots suggested by the audience (did someone say morgue?). While there are moments of confusion as roles are swapped between individuals, the pursuit of love keeps the audience entertained and engaged. At times though, scenes are cut short due which leaves us slightly out of the loop or wanting more. Nevertheless, it’s a unique and funny show full of laughs and unexpected twists.
Six In The City, The Howling Owl, run ended.
