Please see this and everything that has Elf Lyons name attached to it, I was lucky enough to share a venue in Edinburgh with Elf in 2018 and since then haven't missed a show in SA. This is wonderful, this is what the fringe is and needs to remain. I will see this again and I implore you do to.

This is the second show I’ve seen Elf perform at Fringe, and like Raven, Horses is an abstract adventure which makes you wonder where it’s all going right up until the moment where Elf ties it all together neatly at the end. It is clever and silly and funny and heartwarming. Be a good audience and do as the horse says, it’ll be worth it.

After seeing Elf's Ravens last year, then Horses this year, I've vowed to catch every show she creates. This woman is a genius.

Outstanding Performance- hilariously masterful

I've seen Elf a few times now and I am never disappointed. It's always a highlight of every fringe year and if you're the sort of person who wants a sure thing, go to an Elf show - you WILL like it.

The most brilliant show I've ever seen performed by a horse!! I had a wonderful time, and was devastated that I was trapped and couldn't play with Treacle 😫

I had never seen one horse on stage in a library before let alone a whole troop with extensive supporting cast. Joyful and horrifying

When Elf Lyons appears on stage, she announces that it will not be her performing but rather a mare named Treacle. What follows is an hour of the best absurdist comedy I've seen in years, definitely not performed by Lyons pretending to be a horse. Not only is Horses a silly fun time, it's also a gloriously dark one, with hilarious black humour that had me in stitches. Ending on a sweet, personal note, Horses is a ridiculous, twisted show that I can't recommend enough.
