Join clown character Étincelle on a magical journey through water, caves and space as she searches for her Spark. Along the way, she faces obstacles, including run-ins with PC Percy, a cautious policeman.
In this sensory-filled adventure, you can feel water, taste something sweet, and smell the flowers. Featuring original music, it’s a heartwarming show that brought joy to Melbourne in 2024 and is ready to enchant Adelaide audiences.
“Spark” reflects Nicola's journey as a neurodiverse actor, constantly searching for joy. Inspired by her work as a drama therapist and humanitarian clown, and a meeting with Patch Adams who says he never has a bad day, we explore the question: "How can we hold onto our spark, and can we hold onto it forever?"

Nicola is a passionate actor, humanitarian clown, artist, and drama therapist with a Master's in Creative Arts Therapies from Melbourne University and a diploma in acting. In 2024, she devised and performed her first solo sensory show, "Spark," at the Melbourne Fringe festival. Nicola has acted in a variety of roles, from a bullied feathered dinosaur to a spy pretending to be dead. She has facilitated theatre-making for adults with intellectual disabilities and clowned with Patch Adams in Costa Rica and Humanitarian Clowns Inc. in India. Dedicated to accessible theatre, Nicola blends drama therapy, acting, art, and clowning to create immersive, sensory theatre experiences. She also runs a small art business.
