Minnie bursts onto the stage like a freshly wound stick of sweet pink fairy floss—pretty, pink, saccharine goodness, every mouthful a delectable treat. Cheeky and sassy until the very last bite, she and her dazzling collection of guests serve up a sexy buffet of scintillating snacks—delicious, bite-sized acts of saucy temptation. From burlesque to fire twirling, Shake It is a feast of excitement and sensuality, each act as thrilling as the last.

Beyond the titty tassels and tease, there was the most touching of moments when Minnie shared her experience of living with chronic illness and the subsequent struggles with mental health. She spoke of the way her art sustained her and the vital role the audience played in that journey. Yet, even in vulnerability, she never lost character—pulling us deeper into her world of sexy, sassy and sweet.

Then, just when we thought we had her pegged as all sugar and spice, she opened her lungs and sang. And what a voice—powerful, soulful, and raw—a sound that shattered the fairy floss illusion and revealed something deeper, something real. And that’s when I really connected. It’s when I sat up and said, ‘yeah, now you’ve got me.’

As the final note rang out and the crowd erupted in applause, Minnie seemed genuinely overwhelmed with gratitude. It was in that moment—her humility, her grace, the way she took it all in—that she truly dazzled. Beyond the glamour and tease, it was this that shone the brightest.

The standout performance for me? Jace Gonçalves. Slick, cheeky, so damned sexy and honestly both performances from him were hot as hell. Every movement was precise, every moment electric. A true showstopper in a line-up of stars.

Shake It is a show that delivers exactly what it promises: fun, flirtation, and a whole lot of fire. A celebration of sensuality with a beating heart beneath the sparkle.
