Amid the hubbub of Gluttony echoes a (not so) faint American voice: it’s Carmel Clavin calling you to adventure. In this Fringe show like no other, you play the starring role in the fight against the Void. We’re talking escape rooms, scavenger hunts and puzzle trails, all rolled into one with an eccentric Adelaide Fringe feel.

We begin our journey at a classified spot within Gluttony (mysteriously revealed 24 hours before your event). Clavin is an incredible host who immediately sets a scene you can’t wait to dive into. Different puzzles each night lean heavily into creativity and intelligence, however if you don’t fancy yourself as a creative or an intellect, Clavin reminds us that asking for help is sexy. Your enemy is the Void, a bottomless pit intent on inflicting the mundane and monotonous on the world, so the task is simple: be as fun and silly as you can so the Void loses.

As you carry out your quest, there are plenty of chances to explore Gluttony, and the puzzles help you pinpoint places you may like to visit later. Lose those work-week blues and set your night at the Fringe up right. You won’t regret it.
