Calling all Pink Floyd fans! Even if you’re not a Pink Floyd fan, this is well worth coughing up the money. I can’t believe it’s already been  50 years since the release of Dark Side of the Moon! To celebrate this milestone, the band and their long-time creative partner, Aubrey Powell, created this magnificent masterpiece.

As with all Adelaide Fringe events, this show is available for everybody! The ‘fantastic immersive experience’ is a result of the stunning visuals and the surround sound system that truly brings the music to life. You can choose to sit in a bean bag or a chair, both of which offer a unique perspective on the show. Don’t worry; the fantastic Fringe staff were so sweet and even volunteered to help my husband get back up again.

As someone who’s not a Pink Floyd fan, I was blown away by this show. The visuals were captivating, and the music was truly immersive. The experience of comfortably lying back and watching the universe unfold before you, with its swirling galaxies and mesmerizing light shows, was simply phenomenal. It’s a show that I would go back and see again. It would have been wonderful to have a drink while watching the show; however, drinks and food are not allowed, which I understand; you don’t want spills and sticky bean bags when you have an audience waiting to come in straight after.

The presentation is being held in the Grand Hall of the Dom Polski Centre, but don’t let that fool you. You will enter the hall into a tent with a huge dome, where you can choose from a number of multi-coloured bean bags. It doesn’t matter where you decide to sit because every seat has the best view.

Even those, like myself, who can not appreciate Pink Floyd or are too young to enjoy it, there were children there who loved the show. The visuals of space and the 3D effects are just so much fun.
