Prepare to feel the burn and bear witness to a performance that’s well and truly “lit” at INFERNO: the hottest fire and burlesque variety extravaganza to ever scorch the stage at Adelaide Fringe. Held every Friday and Saturday night under the May Wirth big top at Gluttony, this sizzling 60-minute showcase promises an electrifying fusion of fire flow and seductive dance that will leave you burning and yearning for more. With a cast of blazing talents who turn fire, passion, and skill into a spectacle hotter than a summer heatwave, this show is guaranteed to light up your night in ways you never expected. Danger? Check. Seduction? Check. A performance so hot, it could melt the stage? Absolutely. Hosted by the dynamic Clara Fable, whose enigmatic energy and infectious charisma burns as brightly as the flames she oversees, INFERNO is a night of high-octane entertainment that is as fierce as it is fabulous.

From the first flicker of flame, the INFERNO cast pulls you into their world of heat and hypnotic rhythm. Led by the indomitable Nikita, the troupe emerges in sleek, all-black ensembles, moving as one with choreography that could only be described as fire-bending meets ballet. To the haunting strains of Burn by 2WEI & Edda Hayes, the dancers use their fire palms like extensions of their own bodies, sending a storm of light across the stage. As the music intensifies, Nikita wields two fire samurai swords, spinning them through the air in a whirl of glowing embers. It’s nothing short of a fiery symphony, and when she crosses the blades triumphantly over her head, it feels as though the universe itself has set alight.

Saddle up, partner, because Miss Olive Dip is about to rustle up some serious heat. With the swagger of a rodeo queen and the fire skills of a true outlaw, Olive embodies a sultry, fiery cowgirl vision straight from a western fantasy. A remix of Britney Spears’ Toxic and Ginuwine’s Pony fills the air, and Olive struts on stage like she’s ready to take over the Wild West, dressed in cowprint assless chaps, a matching bralette, and a black cowboy hat adorned with a sheriff’s star. Her movements begin slow, sensual, and deliberate as she twirls fire palms on each hand. As the beat intensifies, Olive delivers some mesmerising floor work, culminating in a spectacular display with a fire hula hoop. The sparks fly in a blaze of glory as she spins the hoop with astonishing skill, twirling it around her waist and even spinning it on one foot in the air, sparks flying in every direction. A wild ride from start to finish, Olive Dip is here to lasso your heart and set it ablaze.

Foxy Roxie is the very definition of a dangerous woman, and her performance to a remix of Ariana Grande’s track of the same name is the perfect soundtrack for her death-defying, jaw-dropping stunts. Wrapped in a red-hot rhinestone-studded bodysuit and tulle robe, Foxy opens with a fire-eating performance that sees her consume flames from two rhinestone-encrusted fire batons, her every movement filled with sensuality and flair. As she strips off her robe to reveal her glowing bodysuit, Foxy unleashes a fiery display of flexibility, flipping, splitting, and contorting with athleticism and grace. Her seductive routine involves setting her stilettos on fire, a dangerous move she pulls off effortlessly, and culminates in a spectacular floor work sequence that will have you on the edge of your seat. Oozing power and passion, Foxy is nothing short of a fiery force of nature.

Jaxx Wild brings a thrilling mix of fire, boylesque, and magnetic charm to the stage. Dressed in all black with a hoodie and cap, he starts with two fire cage poi, expertly spinning them with precision before switching to fire snake poi, creating a hypnotic, serpentine rhythm. To the kick-ass beat of Pitbull Terrier by Die Antwoord, Jaxx turns up the heat with a boylesque chair routine that’ll have you feeling hot under the collar. As the chair’s back is lit up with two fire batons, he sensually works the stage like a seasoned pro, giving a Magic Mike-esque performance that’s sizzling with charisma. The fire he wields may ignite the room, but it’s Jaxx’s cheeky confidence and fiery flair that truly set the stage alight.

Set to the haunting beats of Mia by Blooom, Eddie Embers takes to the stage like a woman possessed by flames. Dressed in a pale burgundy tank and long pants, she begins her routine by wielding a dragonstaff, each end aflame, twirling it with such fluidity that it seems like an extension of her very body and being. With flawless precision, Eddie ignites a large geometric metal frame behind her and spins it across her body in a stunning display of control and power. As the frame spins high in the air, she catches it effortlessly with the grace of a professional juggler and continues her performance, leaving nothing but embers in her wake. Every movement is a study in precision, as she guides the flames with a quiet intensity that pulls you in.

When Foxy Roxie and Nikita join forces, the result is pure magic. Their chemistry is undeniable as they both return to the stage to perform a breathtaking duet, blending fire manipulation with intricate choreography. Performing to the hypnotic tones of Hide and Seek by Klergy & Mindy Jones, these two are a perfect storm of chemistry, grace, and danger. Foxy begins with fire claws and a blazing headdress, setting Nikita’s own fire headdress alight with a flick of her flames. What follows is a mesmerising display of fluidity and intensity, as they twist and turn in perfect harmony, moving across the stage like two sides of the same fiery coin. The choreography is polished, the flames are hotter, and the tension between the two is palpable. From acrobatic lifts to impeccably synchronised dance moves, this act is a shining example of the stunning talent that defines INFERNO.

Hailing all the way from LA, sizzling hot seductress Skylar brings an undeniably sultry vibe to the show with her smokin’ chair routine set to Fire of Love by Jesse Jo Stark. Draped in a red rhinestoned ensemble, black vinyl assless chaps, and a sheer red cape, she moves deliberately and sensually, taking her time with every step. As the music shifts, Skylar strips off her cape, gloves and chaps, offering a fiery mix of floor work and chair straddling. Her movements drip with passion, and with every bump, grind and gyrate, she leaves the audience longing for more. Though this routine doesn’t include literal fire (other than that of a lit cigarette she smokes), Skylar ignites a flame in the hearts of the audience that burns long after she’s gone.

Lit Venam blends martial arts with fire manipulation, creating a performance that’s as fierce as it is graceful. Set to dramatic orchestral music that could score an epic battle scene, Lit brings polished precision and untamed power to his every move. Dressed in an oriental-print coat and gray flowing pants, he ignites his twin sai with a flick, spinning them through the air with the elegance of a samurai and the power of a kung fu master. Just when you think he’s reached the peak of intensity, he sets a pair of samurai swords ablaze, attaching them together at the middle as he slashes them through the air like lightning. For his final act, Lit spins a fire net around him in an otherworldly display of fiery brilliance, creating a circle of flames reminiscent of an inter-dimensional portal straight out of Doctor Strange. Lit Venam doesn’t just wield fire; he bends it to his will, turning every move into a martial arts-infused blaze of glory.

The crown jewel in the Inferno crown, Jessy Spin closes the show with a fire-filled performance that’s nothing short of spectacular. Performing to the sizzling rhythms of El Tango de Roxanne from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, she spins into action like a fiery whirlwind with the energy and intensity of a thousand suns. Dazzling in a red, black, and gold ensemble with a dramatic train trailing behind her, she’s part flamenco dancer, part cancan dancer, mixing sensuality with skill to dance a passionate flame-fuelled tango. She whirls fire fans around with expert precision, as if she’s weaving the very fabric of fire itself. But that’s just the warm-up. For the grand finale, Jessy unveils her Phoenix Rising fire skirt—a showstopping invention of her own creation—spinning and twisting it around her to create a firestorm of explosive proportions. As the music builds to its climax, she twirls with such intensity that the flames seem to burn brighter than ever, leaving us with an image of fiery beauty that lingers long after the final flames flicker out.
